The heavy-rack buck (2nd pic) was shot on the run chasing a doe during the rut...great mass from base to tip on the main beam. John used his custom-made Carolina Killer slate call also to bag a couple gobblers on 4/25/08 at Cherokee Run. John has had a successful year hunting at Cherokee Run. Tom Allen of Virgina shot a wild boar at Cherokee Run with a recurve bow and survived. The same hog was shot a day later and an autopsy showed Tom's broadhead stuck in the spine.
Brad Kelly's friend Scotty harvested a bruiser of a buck on the same farm the next day. Notice the powerlines in both pics! Scotty's buck has a neck like a Canadien monster.
